Harrisburg, PA – May 22, 2013 – Futurity, an information technology company in the emergency management vertical, released an update to their industry-leading Orion™ software system today. Version 1.5 continues the company's drive to deliver the most comprehensive mobile damage assessment system available.

The 1.5 release included many streamlined items to make Orion™ more efficient for use, as well as the inclusion of special needs for public / infrastructure assessments. "We continue listening to our customers and delivering enhancements that they request which make their jobs easier", said Rob Richard, Futurity’s founder and CEO. Director of Business Development Heidi Hessler added "Our customers are key to our success and drive all that we do. That's the importance that we place on our relationship with our customers."

Orion™ works on Android and Apple iOS devices, and allows emergency managers to take advantage of ubiquitous mobile technology to efficiently and accurately collect and report damage assessment information following a disaster, all without the need for an Internet connection. The cloud-based dashboard tallies the information and provides GIS and reporting capabilities. “Orion offers an easy to use, affordable solution that drastically reduces the time and effort of conducting damage assessments. And that in turn means a significant decrease in the paperwork headaches, the ability to receive funds for the affected communities faster, and an all-around quicker recovery”, concluded Richard in a short interview.
