Press Release - 2013-11-08 - Futurity Releases Orion 1.6

Camp Hill, PA – November 8, 2013 – Futurity, an information technology company in the emergency management vertical, released an update to their industry-leading Orion™ software system today. Version 1.6 continues the company's position as provider of the most comprehensive and powerful mobile damage assessment system available.

This latest release extends the ability for emergency managers to quickly and efficiently capture and report on damage information in the field. The most significant enhancements are the ability to leverage jurisdictional tax assessment information and the ability to more efficiently identify public infrastructure locations with multiple categories of damage. "This latest release is a huge enhancement to make emergency managers more efficient by providing more detailed information to accomplish a more complete, accurate assessment", said Rob Richard, Futurity’s founder and CEO. Director of Business Development Heidi Hessler added "We couldn't provide the best system out there without the fantastic feedback from valued clients who drive everything we do."

Orion™ works on Android and Apple iOS devices, and allows emergency managers to take advantage of ubiquitous mobile technology to efficiently and accurately collect and report damage assessment information following a disaster, all without the need for an Internet connection. The cloud-based dashboard tallies the information, provides GIS and reporting capabilities, and also incorporates Public Assistance project management and reporting. “Orion covers response and recovery effort from cradle to grave, and reduces the time, effort, and paperwork emergency managers are challenged with during an incident”, concluded Richard in a short interview.
